I really, really miss the Adam and Joe Show

It’s Sunday, I’m feeling rather ill, I have a ton of work to do, but it’s on days just like this that I disappear down a wikipedia rabbit hole and get reminded of a bit of genius from my youth.

Not any genius belonging to me, you understand, but to the fantastic Adam and Joe:

The idea of the Adam and Joe was pretty simple:  they hosted a number of short sketches from their very small apartment (actually a shared performance space above a Body Shop, a little detail that tickles me a bit).  It was a pretty fantastic show, and yet more proof that I didn’t watch enough television in the last years of secondary school and university, as if Spaced wasn’t enough.  I’ve been catching up in bits and pieces over the years though, and it was a particular treat to see Adam Buxton show up in Hot Fuzz last year.

And if nothing else, I have them to thank for realising that when you get caught up in a movie when it first comes out, but never have an urge to see it again, it might not be all it was cracked up to be.  Exhibit A:
